Just a Bit of a Recap…
Today was the first day of ASL Club this semester, yay!!! We did have a few points of go over. We want the club to be official. We want all the perks that fall in line with that, which means we are gonna have to step up the game. We need to show up to all the club meetings and the special ICC meetings. We will have to get more serious about the no talking rule and we will need to be a bit more structured. If you couldn’t make it today (1/14), we mostly went over going official, plus the new club constitution.
What this mean for you in the long run:
- Election speeches are next Tuesday! If you want to run, prepare a speech for one of the following positions: President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer. The current nominations are President (Leah), VP (Cat) and Secretary/Treasurer (Katrina). Please remember you need to meet the requirements for the club officer positions to be eligible. [As it currently stands you must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours or belong to the collegiate school.]
- We need 10 core members. That means members that come to almost every meeting, that help fundraise and come to all the special interclub meetings, that talk about the trajectory of clubs with the Hub Honcho.
- Club Rush is Next Week: please, please, please show if you can. We are reserving a table. Cat has volunteered to be there all day (11am-2pm) on Wednesday (1/22), while Izzy has volunteered to be there all day on Thursday (1/23).
Some changes coming our way:
- We are looking into changing the day and time. Please click this link to put down when you can make it. Be as specific or as vague as you like. This is a general schedule, we understand schedules change week to week, day to day, so just write down when is best for you.
- We are also looking into changing rooms. With our current room, is hard to sit and face each other to sign, we are constantly turning around, so here’s to hoping for the new room!
